Daily Haiku 2

Ache, awake

Too much to do today

cracking knuckles.

She’s snoring

I let her, sleep more

dreams live on.

Chair squeaking

black keyboard chatter,

writing begins.

White paper cup,

swirling sweet drink,

Mmm, Macchiato.

Start and

stop.  Kids come first,

keyboard, silent.

Stories born

letters shape words,

sentences breath.

Writer, you answer

One, reader question only

Human? Tell the tale.

Daily Haiku

Wind has ruined,

gray hair on my head,

cold day hurts.

Love, holds me up,

she makes things good

A wife is life.

Rose petals,

fall and fade quickly,

text a note.

Mom loved me,

I yelled at her tears,

Mom left me.

Kids laughing,

house, quite a mess

Kids living well.

College at forty

homework on spring break,

done by nine.

Cats playing now,

the curtain dancing alone,

cat claws tear.

Life is a quick sneeze, (Hii Ku!) bless you

Ruminate on life.

value in health, kids,

and loving wife.

Work to support

family, only one goal

warm childhood soul

Love, silky red mist

clothe my weary heart.

 Life anew with kiss.

Time becomes soft

moments are fragile, gray,

memories are lost.

High above Earth,

life looks so very simple,

death is birth

Hate me, Hate me, Haiku

A statement, a slur

Spray paint fouls, faces

knife blades cut deep

Representative

Chosen by me, for working

not identity

Lies, spoken quickly

Define innocent, guilty

Eyes, gouged out

A brow furrowed

Fists, strike closed lip

Red blood stains

Marker drawn word

Crowd walks and yells

Strangers hate me

My eyes are green

God created physical form

My gender is male
